Delete your Cookt account

You can delete your Cookt account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. This page explains how, what is deleted, how long it takes, and what to do if you cannot open the app.

How to delete your account in the app

  1. Open Cookt on your iPhone (or Android phone).
  2. Tap the Profile button at the top of Home. This opens your own page, with your name at the top.
  3. Scroll to the Account card and tap Delete account.
  4. Read what will be deleted, then confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

If you are not signed in, sign in first with the same phone number (or the same Apple or Google sign-in) you used before, then follow the steps above.

What is deleted

When you confirm, we delete everything Cookt keeps about you, from our servers and from the phone you are using:

  • The recipes you saved, imported, wrote or generated, and the photos you added to them.
  • Your meal plan and your import history.
  • Your AI chef usage counters and your saved Discover picks.
  • Any reviews you wrote, and the reports and blocks you made or that involve you.
  • Your acceptance of the terms and the record that links your Cookt account to Cookt Pro.
  • If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Cookt’s access to your Apple sign-in.

What we keep

  • A short record that the account was deleted: when it happened and how many times. It holds no recipes or personal content.
  • If we had stopped an account from posting reviews, that ban and its reason, so a ban cannot be avoided by deleting the account.
  • Your sign-in. Cookt shares its phone-number sign-in with other Kinori Labs apps, so deleting your Cookt account removes your Cookt data but does not delete your sign-in for those other apps. If you sign in to Cookt again later, you start a fresh, empty account.

How long it takes

Deletion starts the moment you confirm and your Cookt data is removed from our servers in that one step. Uploaded photos are cleaned up right after, and the cleanup is retried automatically if it is interrupted. Any other phone that is still signed in to the account is signed out the next time it connects.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a Cookt Pro subscription or free trial, because Apple bills it. To stop renewal, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Cookt. Cookt Pro is billed by Apple on iPhone; Android is free for now.

Cannot open the app?

Write to [email protected] from any address with the subject “Delete my Cookt account” and include the phone number on the account. We will check that the request is yours, delete the account, and reply to confirm.
