Community Guidelines

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Cookt lets you share recipes with other cooks: a public profile, posts, likes, follows and comments. These guidelines explain how sharing works and what is not allowed. They are part of our Terms of Service. You accept them in the app before you share, comment, like or follow.

Sharing is your choice

Your recipes stay private unless you post them. When you set up a public profile you choose a name, a handle, and optionally a photo and a short bio. Your email address and phone number are never shown. You can withdraw a post at any time, and deleting your account removes your profile, posts, comments, likes and follows.

What you can post

  • Recipes you made or adapted yourself.
  • Recipes you imported from somewhere else, as long as you credit where they came from. Cookt adds an "Adapted from" credit and a link to the source, and the original site's photos are never posted. Add your own photo or post without one.
  • Photos you took yourself.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or hate toward any person or group.
  • Sexual content, graphic violence, or anything harmful to children.
  • Unsafe instructions presented as safe, or false health or allergy claims.
  • Spam, scams, advertising, or links to unrelated sites.
  • Other people's photos or recipes posted as your own.
  • Personal contact details, yours or anyone else's.
  • Pretending to be someone else, including Cookt or Kinori Labs.

How we keep Cookt safe

Text and photos are checked automatically before or shortly after they appear, and photos are only shown once they pass. Anything that breaks these guidelines can be hidden or removed, and accounts that break them can be suspended or banned. We have zero tolerance for abuse.

Report and block

Every post, comment and profile has a Report option. Reports go to a person on our team, and content that several people report is hidden while we review it. You can also block any cook: you will no longer see each other's posts, comments or profiles, and you cannot follow or interact with each other.

Credit and takedowns

If you believe something on Cookt uses your recipe, photo or other work without permission, write to [email protected] with a link to the post and we will review it and take it down where appropriate.
